We just completed producing our Bahlsen campaign for 2020, then COVID-19 hit. We leveraged the work we created to connect more deeply with consumers during the pandemic. We extended our TV campaign that showed a couple hiding their favorite Bahlsen cookies to an expansive social media campaign that invited people to share where they hide their Bahlsen cookies. While most brands were chanting the trite "All in this together" our approach empathized with people quarantined at home to keep their sanity. We also leveraged our Teacher gift TV spot into a broader campaign that enable consumers to nominate and thank their teachers for pivoting to remote learner with free boxes of cookies. Finally we ended the year with a holiday film where our cookies were the ultimate bribe for Santa.

 

Results:

  • 223% increase in social media followers

  • 228% increase in new users and page views

  • 1900% increase in web sessions

  • 7 Million video views

  • 15 Million impressions

  • 28% increase in sales
