Sal likes to grow things. Cucumbers. Followers. Client Revenues. Agencies.
Sal was a digital marketing expert shortly after the internet was born. After account management stints at Y&R and Wunderman where he specialized in direct marketing and media integration, Sal became the first Interactive Group Director in the history of MVBMS/Euro RSCG. He helped establish that department with accounts like Intel, Network Solutions, Universal Studios, Oppenheimer and MCI.
While still in his twenties, Sal launched Catalano, Lellos & Silverstein, his own NYC interactive agency. He helped grow the agency with blue chip clients like American Express, Porsche, Realogy and Barnes and Noble. Sal has always taken pride in driving revenue for his clients through targeted, digital, ROI-focused programs. His work has garnered several One Show and Ad:Tech awards for clients such as New Balance, Intel and Discovery Channel’s Animal Planet. After twenty years, Sal sold his agency with the intent of enjoying early retirement. This dream was shattered with Sean Looney calling him every other day. Rather than implementing a restraining order, he decided it would be easier to help grow another venture.
Sal lives in New Jersey with his high school sweetheart and two kids. When not coaching his kids’ basketball, softball or baseball teams, or painfully rooting for his beloved New York Knicks, he can be found in his ever-expanding vegetable garden growing atomic-sized vegetables.
